Poor Customer Service

I disconnected one of my postpaid connections in Nov 2013. Vodafone is yet to refund my refundable deposit.

When I called up the call center immediately after disconnection, customer care informed me that it would take 90 Working days to provide a refund. It is almost 6 months now;still I am yet to a get a refund.

Hence, I called customer care 111. Vodafone used to charge previously for talking to customer care but there is no option currently in IVRS to talk to customer care.

Then I called up 198. Initially I was told that there is no due/credit that is been visible in customer care system. After a long conversation, executive agreed that my account is having 200 rupees credit balance and same will get returned back to me by 15th May.

Then I asked him to give me confirmation by taking a complaint, because as per my calculation, it is more than 90 days and account is not yet settled. I did not get any communication also regarding the same. But he was not ready to log a complaint. Then I urged to talk to someone senior, and I got connected to customer service manager

I had 2 Rounds of discussion with customer service manager- regarding logging a complaint. But he was not ready to take any complaint. He was also not ready to accept that there was a delay in settling my account from the disconnection. He was adamant that you are in very much within TAT i.e. 90 days. When I asked the explanation regarding how is he calculating working days, he was not giving me the explanation. I have also asked about talking to more senior somebody;but he was not giving proper answers.

He was incapable of replying, never had an answer of delay, completely incompetent and irritating. He was waiting so that customer gets agitated so that he can hang up the phone. He did not have any valid answer for the queries and he was thoroughly unprofessional in his approach. And finally he made me hang up the call without any resolution.

The delay is more than 120 working days as on today.

I would like to highlight that there is refundable deposit in most postpaid connections. But, How many times the same is paid back to customer. With my experience, I can tell that most of the time the same may not be paid back.

Vodafone is not ready to take a complaint and not readily explain the reason for delay also. If you want to write to Nodal officer;they need a complaint number. By this way; they are not registering any complaint and avoiding records of complaints.
