Wherever you Go.... The Network Follows...

The first time I got a mobile back in 2007 I chose Airtel. But I had a bitter experience with Airtel last year and ported out and took Vodafone. I got a very good postpaid CUG connection and am very happy that I chose Vodafone. As I stay in Kolkata, I use to travel a lot by Metro and it is underground here in kolkata not like overhead as in Delhi. So whenever I came out of the train when I was using Airtel, it used to take 5-6 minutes to catch the signal again until I came out of station above ground but using Vodafone I just get the signal back in a snap.

Also I have to travel a lot cause of my job to the very distance areas of Bengal, and some of them even at the border next to Bangladesh but I rarely face problem of signal loss or call drop. Surprisingly in areas where you do not get a data connection using Airtel, I was able to get data on Vodafone. And their normal 2G speed is 64 kbps whereas for Airtel it is high speed at 48 kbps, and DO NOT BELIEVE ME, CHECK FOR YOURSELF. GET ANY AIRTEL MOBILE OF YOUR FRIEND AND CALL THEIR CUSTOMER CARE TO CHECK IT. Somebody may say that 2G sucks but my friend there are many interior areas where getting connected to internet is also a dream. World is bigger than you think, go to those areas with your 4G/3G and see them die.

As I am also using 4G mobile and 4G connection, I am saying it through my own experience. Their My Vodafone App and all the service related to customer care is also very good and transparent. Your complaints get addressed and resolved very soon and they also provide a specific maximum time limit to you for the same, and you can be very sure that it will be done within that given time limit. You can check your own data or call or sms usage or can set your own credit limit etc. yourself. Also if you have multiple connection you can set all of them in a single app in a single mobile. Also setting callertunes is also easy just by typing song name or movie name and replying with a code all to a toll free sms number. Also the charges are less compared to airtel. Although I will like ot very much if they can corporate something in their app to search for callertunes or VAS. That will be very cool to become self sufficient for all the operation related to your mobile. Above all for the main reason of using mobile, that is calling, I will not say that calldrop does not happen at all but as far as my experience goes, I have seen a very good Urban as well as Rural coverage of Vodafone compared to Airtel. Also the charges are also marginal. So I will suggest everyone that if you want a good connection and stay connected, Go For Vodafone.
