Vodafone: A little more than just crap

India’s second largest mobile service provider VODAFONE leaves no stone un-turned to harass its customers. They make full efforts to make their customers want to switch some other mobile service provider. Despite me being a loyal customer since years now they have no respect for me and still provide me false information about my billing plan and other services. This is what forced me to write this review for them.

June 2, 2014 was the date when I had switched my plan; not because I liked the plan, but because I felt that I will be less harassed with this plan. I had called the customer service agent to inquire about my data plan details. I was told that I have 512 MB 3G data usage free and unlimited 2G data usage free thereafter. This piece of information was hard to digest for me so a couple of days later I called the Vodafone "So-calle" CARE again to enquire about the same. Again, I was given the same piece of information. I confirmed the agent two-three times and I was given the same information again and again. OK, I was happy and was happily using my data pack.

I am a very careful user of the internet pack as I know that the plans that Vodafone offers really burn a hole in your pocket. I keep on checking my data pack and make sure I switch it off before the limit is reached.

This month when I got the bill I saw that I have been charged an extra Rs 647 for Data usage.

This highly unacceptable for a customer who inquires about his plan twice before actually starting to use the plan.

So I lodged a complaint against this in the Nodal office on Septem 3, 2014 and an agent was assigned to me. I had asked him for a total amount reversal because yes (Rs 647 is a huge amount for a student). The guy kept on asking for 48 hours time and I was not getting any solution. Every time he used to come back after 48 hours and say the same thing that he need 48 hours more.

Today, it has been about 2 weeks and I still have not got a solution to my complaint.

I am left with no choice but to take a legal action against the company.

This is how much they value a loyal customer. I feel that their definition of a loyal customer is the one to whom they can offer more such plans and charge them money for it after providig false information to them.

I am highly dissatisfied with the services and would discontinue using VODAFONE with immediate effect.

Regards,

An angry vodafone user
