I used a Vodafone connection since 2004! I had requested them to de-activate my number on 18th Sept 2013 by calling their customer service first and also sending an email to corporatecare.ap@vodafone.com as directed by their customer service.
I followed up on email for a few days requesting confirmation of the same but received no reply.
They never informed me of any problems in de-activating my number but kept it active. On 25th Octobler 2013, they generated a bill for this number( which I never used at all after requesting them to de-activate the account) and debited my bank account Rs 241( I had mandated my bank to debit my bank account for Vodafone bills way back in 2004 when I first took that connection) .
I called their customer service practchandru021y everyday since then and was given a run around – they keep claiming that itll be done in 48 hrs everyday. When I ask for an escalation, I am put on hold for 10-15 minutes and then my calls are disconnected. I have written over 20 emails to vodafonecare.ap@vodafone.com and corporatecare.ap@vodafone.com.
They have ignored all my emails – I only get automated acknowledgement letters that say they will reply in 48 hrs. On top of that, they informed me that I have run up a fresh bill of Rs 30 when I called them on 12th Nov 2013 once again.
I filed a complaint with them whose docket number is 1600788588.
Could someone advise me of the process of filing a case in consumer court against Vodafone for this offence please?
