Yesterday (Friday) evening i went to the Vodafone store to pay the bill for my corporate phone at 7:00 pm. At 7:00 though the store is still open the billing counter is closed. Also they are ready to accept payment by cash but not by credit card. Usually, if the cashier has left, most establishment do not accept payment by cash due to the risk involved in cash handling, but accept payment by card as it is directly tied to the account. Here it is reverse. They asked me to come back next day at 10 am.
I have had bad experience with this store earlier too as the staff is very slow and for any task you need to wait for more then 30-45 mins but then this is the only Vodafone store in the vicinity and i dont have a choice to port my number to any other service provider.
Very next door to them is Airtel store where i went next to pay my home landline and internet bill. The staff there is much more responsive and in minutes my payment was done and in another few minutes i was also able to pickup the new 4G sim card for my phone. This is what i call service. Not sure if anyone at Vodafone is listening.
