I had a shocking experience when I visited Vodafone Store located inside Sector-14 Market (Near OM Sweets), Gurgaon around 6:55 PM yesterday (16-06-2015). I went there with a friend to exchange my SIM card for a new one as I was facing major network issues.
There, the service personnel Rajesh informed us about Postpaid plans, to which my friend agreed to purchase. He then called another person named Narendra to our desk, who started explaining formalities to buy postpaid plan to my friend, and Mr. Rajesh left our desk. Around 15 minutes got over, I was waiting for my query to be resolved. Mr. Rajesh ensured that my query will be resolved shortly when I pointed out that the time was getting over.
At 7:30 PM, he informed me about the documents required for getting a new/replaced SIM card. Since my SIM was issued on my brothers name who stays in Lucknow, Rajesh told me to get the scanned copies of my brothers ID & address proof. I immediately called my brother and requested him to send the proof immediately.
At 7:39 PM, Rajesh told me that only 1 minute is left for our system to close, come next day. I told him that I came here 40 minutes back and you informed about the documents just 10 minutes back. Why so? He said, "I told you earlier as well" and argued with me.
While all this happened, Mr. Narendra was playing with his legs below the desk which hurt me twice. He stopped only after I pointed out. Shameless that was! Also, when I complained about the network problems to Mr. Rajesh, he suggested- "Why are you taking pains? Go and switch to Airtel." Claps for him! This was the least I had expected from VODAFONE.
