Vodafone billing fraud

I had applied for deactivation of a vodafone no I had and the application was accepted along with relevant documents on February 19th 2020.

I cleared all pending dues along with it.

Vodafone did not however deactivate it and now after 7 months a collection manager- a crude character sends a very rude and arrogant email threatening criminal proceedings against me for not clearing dues of 623 INR.

.I was under the impression that it was deactivated.

Inspite of repeated emails to customer care they are stillcontinuing to demand the dues..Even their so called managers are Super dumb .

Clearly their mistake for not deactivating as per my application for disconnection of the no.

.They are supposed to do it in 7 days whichthey did not.. accordingtothe rule book.

They are unable to grasp this situation.

And inspiteofexplaining thru seriesofmails they keep repeating about dues which arose after applyingfordeactivation. From 27th Februaryto July 21st 2020.

Similar to the situation where one vacates a house afterclearingdues and closes account

but ownerskeep on askingforrent saying

that you are still saying thereinspite of proof that you aren’t.!

Please be careful dealing with these crooks. They even lied and said I had requested for reactivation of the said number a week after I applied for disconnection.

Please do not subscribe to Vodafone. Poor network service, coverage and customer care. Plus fraudulent billing.

And they send threatening mails collection agent style...Beware of Vodafone.

Choose better options.

if you ever deactivate please cross check.Dont trust them.Customer care...managers..all are unreliable
