VoiceMates is a refreshing story by young author Anamika Mishra. It revolves around a young girl named Tulip dreams of become a singer by winning a reality show. But her parents want her to pursue B.tech. The plot is really fresh and has not been penned by anyone till now.
Sam is a street singer and sings to earn his bread and butter. Tulip and Sam accidently meet and decide to enter this contest by making a deal where if they win the show, Sam will take all he prize money while Tulip will take the singing contract.
The story revolves around how they step ahead together despite being strangers, and how life plays its game with them. There are lots of twists and turns in the novel which keeps the reader hooked to it. The narrative style seems really challenging but author has done a great work here. Narrations of the scenes where Sam and Tulip are singing on the stage is a treat to read. It seems as if a reader is watching a movie.
Anamika has a power to play with words and weave emotions which can touch anyone’s heart. Strong points like value of family, relationships, heartbreaks, success, failure, etc. are inspiring to read.
If you are kind of person who loves to read new novels which has fresh plot and are inspiring, then this is a must read for you.
If you like reading mature content, political stories or erotica, then this is not your cup of tea.
