While driving the car with my family, I turned on the AC and the AC made a very sharp and loud sound and lot of white smoke started coming out of the vehicle’s hood.
I took the vehicle to VolksWagen workshop: Elite Motors, Magrath Road, Bangalore. And shown the vehicle there. The service supervisor told me that the vehicle’s AC pipe has leaked and needs to be replaced. Since the vehicle was under warranty, they took the vehicle. I did not hear form them for next two weeks. After two weeks, I went to their workshop and asked them the the progress of the work, they told me that vehicle’s warranty claim is not registered. There is a dent on the car because of which they are suspecting that there is a physical damage on the car. Hence no work will be done, unless I either register an insurance claim or pay on myself for the repair. I registered an insurance claim and they started the work.
When the claim was registered, the insurance inspector opened asked them to open the bumper to see if the AC pipe is broken due to impact. It was discovered, it cannot be broken by the impact. I was told I have to pay for its repair. Because it is "consequential damage".
I agreed for it. But since then still car is pending on repair. VolksWagen Downtown workshop is not handing over the car to me telling that we have not received the AC part form the company. Since beginning of July, they are waiting for AC part to be delivered. But are not completing the insurance formalities to finish the other work.
The vehicle is known in workshop by "UP vehicle". And workshop is not doing any work since it is handed over to them on 16th June 2012. And no insurance claim formalities are completed so that atleast vehicle can be delivered without repair if part is not available.
I have posted the complaint at VolksWagen customer care and also to volksWagen Corporate office. But no-one is responding to the call. I have made multiple trips to their workshop which is 25 kms form my house but still I am not getting my vehicle back. It is clear that the workshop does nto ahve capability to fix the problem and they are blaming it to company for not sending the AC part.
