Pathetic test drive experiece POLO Petrol Highline

After reading reviews here I am scared of buying a VW wile a few minutes earlier it was my favorite. I understand that they have shabby top management and that there is no quality percolated to the one servicing the car on the shop floor.

Today itself, I was in discussion with Mr. Y of VW outlet at Noida for buying the New Polo high-line petrol. I am considering buying the vehicle this month or January 2015. I visited the outlet to meet the salesman I was talking to and by some confusion I met one Mr. G who took me to explained the car to me.

Surprisingly, he seemed quite disinterested in showing the vehicle, either the respected personnel was not knowledgeable enough about the car or he was just not interested in me.

He explained only a few features when I sat inside, except that, whatever I asked he replied to, else he kept quite looking elsewhere.

Most important features like telescoping adjustment of steering, emergency exits, wheel radius, and many other features he simply did not tell and some of these he confirmed only when I asked specifically.

It was basically a waste of time there as Mr. G did not even seem interested to take down my contact details when I requested for a test drive (vehicle was not available at the outlet at that time).

Later I called Mr. Y and he confirmed for the test drive and thankfully he was kind enough to bring the car to my place in Noida for a test drive.

Once inside the car I could see that the rear side case of the hand lever (handbrake) was broken, the engine sounded quite noisy and the brakes were very poor.

Mr. Y told me that the noisy engine and the quality of brakes is the same I would get in the new car.

To my surprise I am driving a Maruti Alto for last 8 years and the quality of brakes were just the same in the New Polo test drive vehicle as it is in my existing car and the engine was far more noisy then what is there in my existing 8 year old car which I have driven for almost 2 lakhs kms now.

If this is the quality I would get from the POLO then of-course there is no point buying the vehicle.

I have also written to the customer care but after reading reviews on Mouthshut, I guess their response will only be a pathetic one and I am not ready to bear troubles after I bought the car because who likes the feeling of being cheated?

See? just one hand up, not most of us that means! I should buy a more practical car like that of HONDA or even MARUTI(though I was looking for premium car).
