I have Polo 1.6 petrol car for one year. There have been small issues with car. I am happy with handling of the car and pick-up (being 1.6 lt engine and at the cost of average). I am little hard hitter during drive so I opt for 1.6lt. There is problem at back seat, low space and you need to force yourself to get out from the car. Car also hit some time crossing speed breakers or potholes.
The above issue was okay. My surprise is my 1st service bill of this car. It is Rs. 11674. The following are the facts (so no reason for any extra charges) :
It is 1st service which suppose to on one year
Car has been driven 10043 kilometers (less then 15000 Kms as VW)
There is no damage or issue being reported
Car has been handled carefully
I had hard discussion with People at VW service center but no justification for service cost almost three times of any other cars in this segment or even segment above. I have Toyota Altis which has been service two month back after completing 2 years and I paid only Rs. 3500 approx. Considering these two cars Toyota suppose to be premium and expensive. Service after two years suppose to be more expensive compare to service after one year.
Polo service cost you : Rs. 1 per KM or Rs. 1000 per month. I think it significant cost. Does not seem worth based on above running and charges. Staff is also not as Good as I find people at Toyota service center and showroom.
Worth giving second thought about this VW cars.
