Ive been owning a vw vento for the last couple of years now and the cars has been proving its capabilities ever since.
The model I own has a petrol engine with a automatic transmission snapped on it. It produces a decent 103 BHP and 175 Nm of torque. All the specs and power figures translates to the cars performance on road and its real achilles heel is its mileage. On your daily commute, you can expect the car to give around 9 kmpl and on the highways around 14 kmpl. The build is excellent and even after 60k kilometers the car holds itself pretty well. The space inside however is a let down. Other cars which comes in the same price bracket offer more space and tech. The car is comfortable for 4 and for 5, its a bit of a squeeze. Toughest part of owning vw’s is servicing them. In my city(chennai)
there is only one vw service center and the cost is high too. Im not going to include anything about the looks as it is subjective. Overall the car is really nice and the 7 speed dsg gearbox is the cars major plus. I would highly recommend getting the petrol automatic if mileage isn’t a deal breaker. cheers!
