I have been using a Vento Highline Petrol AT since 2-July-2011 & had problems from day one.
Day-1: Windshield washer did not work, when checked with the sales rep at KSM, Navi Mumbai got irritating replies (push instead of pull, it is different in these cars, ..). Few days later, on 8thJuly, got this fixed at Tornado Andheri. The pipe had been attacked by rodent - what about pre-delivery inspection?
VW Polo & Vento owners manuals are misleading as well. Since one expects all the features mentioned to be available viz.: hill-hold, reverse parking sensors & may be more.
Since August, after using the car only about month, she has been at the work shop for more than a 35 days (cumulative), more than a month before completing 6 months. More importantly, for the same problems & observations. Why cant they set it right the very first time? Is it skill-set at the workshop? Right now the car is the workshop again for the 2nd time in December (14 - 17 and 6pm on 19th till date). Car has done 9000+ Kms, as I travel between Vashi and Andheri.
In last 25 years, I was not forced to use public transport, though I had pre-owned, 10 to 12 yr old, Indian cars to begin with. I have earlier used PAL Padmini, Fiat Uno, Ford Falcon 60 and Ford Tempo 95 (KSA) & Toyota Corolla AT 07 (UAE).
Even worst, since I wrote to VW customer care, now my calls are not answered!!
I have also read positive reviews about the car & only hope to have the satisfaction of German Engineering, Das Auto!! (shall update my review, if so)
