I have been using this AC for past two weeks. I am happy with performance. It does silent and effective cooling. After comparing with blue star, this seems to be really good deal since Bluestar split Ac with 3 star rating is costlier than this AC and this Ac has cu-cu copper pipes while Bluestar has aluminum pipes. I have previously owned both Voltas and Bluestar Ac and Bluestar has slightly better build quality but difference is minimal. This Ac is really good deal for this price It’s silent and the cooling is good, the few cons I experienced are:
No back-light for remote control unit although the buttons are luminous and the led display in the indoor unit provides info about temperature and mode, other info like fan speed, louver oscillation setting, etc that are only provided in the remote control would be hard to find in dark rooms.
No wall dock for remote control.
Not so easy to figure the remote control settings.
Voltas installation wasn’t satisfactory. The installation costs 1500 rupees for a single unit+ 1000 for outdoor unit wall mount stand(which cost MRP: 700 as it was printed on the stand they brought and said the rest 300 is for installation charges, like 1500 wasn’t enough). They didn’t tape the connecting pipe with a masking tape or something for protection but also left the hose improperly bent and didn’t bother to cover the pipe with its covering properly. The unit comes with filled R-22 refrigerant so I recommend using some local people who does ac installation well but cheaper than this.
