Voltas Vertis 1.5 Ton is a nice piece of machinery. The best parts about it are its low cost, an LCD Remote Control, good looks, good compressor. Funcitionality wise also this is a good product. Overall a good deal. Cooling is quite fast, and so are the other features which are quite userfriendly.
The flip side. If the power goes off, the AC goes off even when the power gets back. This is very problematic specially during the night when there is a power cut. After some time when the cooling is over in the room, you start to feel hot. Even when the power is back, the AC doesn’t get swith on automatically. This is very irritating.
Secondly, don’t use the AC in the room where you have your television set. Reason, the TV’s Remote interferes with the AC. You do any function on the remote and the AC will behave abnormally. Believe me this happens. I have tested the same with two Brands... Sony and ONIDA. Both TVs remote interfere with the functioning of the AC. So beware.
