Horrible experience at VR mall where I booked tickets for today evening show at 6:40 PM using bookmyshow. We didn’t watched the show due to the bad behavior of the staff at the cinema counter.
We reached there directly from our office so we were carrying our office laptops(which have our clients personnel data for which we are responsible and are not allowed to leave the laptops unattended at any cost). We were told to submit the laptops there before entering the cinema hall in the VR mall.
Conversation went like this:
We requested them to lock the laptop bags and let us take them in. But staff present there, didn’t agreed to this.
Then we requested them to lock the laptop bags and then keep it there. But then the manager started arguing that we don’t have those plastic bag locks and this is the rule of their PVR cinema mall.
We then asked them that they should inform regarding this to the customers before booking the tickets. Then manager said that it is already informed in the app and he tried to show this in bookmyshow app but he couldn’t find it.
Then I asked him that is there any government rule for this. Manager said yes it is a government rule and I will show you the proof. He kept on searching it in his mobile for 5-10 mins. but couldn’t find anything.
Then I said that we are getting late and movie has started at 6:40 pm and it’s already 6:50 pm and please don’t waste our time and we have paid complete money. Then he started arguing more that no wait, I will show you government proof.
Then we agreed to submit our bag open and gave the bags to him which he kept aside there. So for our safety and proof, I took a video of the bags kept there(to be on the safe side in case anything mishappening occurs. I thought that it is a public place hence, it shouldn’t be an issue as per the laws). But that manager started shouting on me and was trying to take my phone from my hand and started insulting me and my friend. After lot of arguments, I deleted that video since I didn’t wanted to create more scene.
Finally, we had to leave from there WITHOUT WATCHING THE SHOW since that guy made so much issue for a small thing.
It can verified in the video recording at the VR mall cinema counter. I would request the concerned authority to kindly look into this matter and take proper actions against that person and stop cinema halls from making useless restrictions on the customers.
