After Farhan Akhtar, its Ayan Mukherjee who appeals to the urban youth. Wake up! Sid is a refreshing movie that all of us can identify with. All of us are or have been Sids in real life. While watching the movie, I felt I was watching some aspects of my personality.
Ayan creates an energetic and real atmosphere in the film. Ranbir as Sid is perfect! I’m not a Ranbir Kapoor fan but I loved him here! Konkana’s a natural and has effortlessly made Aisha a character which every girl can relate to. Anupam Kher as Sid’s Dad is amazing. He just slips into whatever role he plays perfectly. Supriya Phatak as Sid’s mother speaking in broken Eng is also good. Rahul Khanna looked every bit the sophisticated boss who loves jazz. What shocked me was Kashmira Shah’s toned down acting! Sid’s friends - Lakshmi and Rishi were cool.
Skankar Ehsaan Loy’s music is fun. They have mananged to get back into form after a long time!
