NDTV has come up leaps and bounds ever since it was started through innovative programming like Walk the Talk, Big Fight and Follow the Leader at the time of the elections.
I find Walk the Talk very interesting due to the freshness in the concpet and a wonderful host. I have thoroughly enjoyed the shows with Ratan Tata, Jaswant Singh, Preity Zinta, Lakhsmi Pandit and others. The host - Shekhar Gupta allows the guest a breathing space to express themselves ( not like Tim Sebastian and Prabhu Chawla who are always grabbing your neck) and doesnt shy away from controversial issues as well to make it totally guest appeaser telecast either.
Instead he gently puts across his query and lets the guest respond taking his due time. He also seems to have a comprehensive knowledge about the subject he is talking to (and talking about). And his common man look is so very useful to bring out the natural self of the guest.
The background chosen for the program are quite apt interesting - Like George Fernandes in Ladakh, Preity Zinta in Joggers Park, Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath, Ratan Tata in his Pune Manufacturing unit. The ever changing landscape make it even more attractive to watch.
The fact that an individual thinks more positively while on the move helps the guest ease out and be themselves.
A fascinating show...!! Cudos to NDTV.
