I had a bad experience with Wang’s Kitchen, Hyderabad recently. I placed a regular 1-chicken dish + 1 rice order at 8:15 pm and then,
when it did not arrive by 9:30 pm, I called them up. Then they said that they are delayed a bit and the delivery boy was in my locality and would be visiting me at most, in 15 minutes.
when it still did not come at 10:05 pm, I called up and threatened to cancel the order, I was told that they would enquire and call in 5 minutes. Then I received a call from the delivery boy at around 10:15 pm and he took directions.
when it finally did come at 10:30 pm, I asked the delivery boy if he has the number of the manager and I want to talk to the manager. He said he did not have his number and I called them again and the same person picked up the phone and said he was the manager for all I cared and I could talk to him. I said I won’t pay and he said - big deal - dont pay - we would lose a couple of hundred bucks
I told their boy I wont pay and he immediately got a call from their management and he said I would have to pay 150 rupees for transport
I told him - (1) he can go to hell and (2) its bullshit that it costs 150 rupees for transport (since I was only 5 kilometres away) , (3) I am paying the full money because if he is being downright unprofessional, I cant lower myself to his level and (4) I am placing the order for the last time.
The delivery boy at least had better sense decency than his stupid "manager" to apologize for the whole thing. I wish Mr H.M. Reddy (MD of Wang’s Kitchen) is reading this before his really good restaurant is going down the drain because of a few stupid folks he has hired.
