In the recent test & one-day series involving Pakistan & New Zealand, you might have noticed that while Shoaib & Sami were taking wickets and restricting the batsmen. None of the support bowlers could back-up the good start by Sami & Akhtar and make in roads to the bating line.
Why was this? Simple they just aint world class bowlers like Kaneria, Shabbir, Azhar Mahmood can not be expected to cause world class players any trouble, they couldn’t even restrict New Zealand’s B team.
Pakistan should do what they have done historically always having a world class bowler at either end, and for this reason Waqar Younis should be recalled into the squad, he has experience, the best strike rate ever in both forms of the game and most of all he’s World class.
It is absolutely disgusting the way he has been treated by the PCB because of Pakistan’s World Cup failure, there were 11 players on the pitch not just Waqar.
Pakistan will soon be facing the old enemy India in one of the most eagerly awaited incounter, but bowlers like Kaneria, Shabbir & Azhar Mahmood will be torn apart by the likes of Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid.
Pakistan Needs Waqar.
