War of the Worlds starts on a family note and effortlessly takes a turn towards the attack by Aliens on Humans, enacted so very well by Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning. The technical excellence that Steven brings out in his every movie is a masterpiece which Steven knows best. Yet another good Sci-Fic movie by Steven Spielberg.
This one is a story about a father played by Mr Cruise taking good care of his kids, when the unforseen happens. Aliens appear from underground, terrorising the people and terminating them at will. Tom Cruise escapes the scene with his kids and leaves the city for good. The whole nation is called on a red alert with things getting worse as the time ticks by. His decision to escape to a new city stands no good as Aliens are now found everywhere, decimating people and the infrastructure. Army men are deployed to rescue, but they are of little use. The story further unfolds into a exciting
contest between the people and the Aliens with excellent visuals and graphics. The scene
where Cruise tries his every best to save his little girl when confronted by the alien is quite captivating.
In the end, the aliens unexpectedly succumb to the forces of nature like the bacteria and everything comes to normal. Gods creation and reason for these organisms are well told here. This movie is a visual retreat and very well essayed.
For all those movie goes with a liking for a bloody-gory climax and heroism, this movie would only disappoint them. With all due respect to Mr Steven Spielberg , I would like to wish him for all his contributions to the movie industry and wish him greater success in life.
