hey ppl.. just a small review on the war of the worlds..
director- (o cors) the great steven spielberg
actor- (to mention) only Tom Cruise ( for others see the star cast durin the movie)
a review on this movie is a must especially since I saw it the ’first day first show’ only to realise tat the multiplex was more than half- empty( or half full-- wateva)..
the movie starts off with a lot of expectations from the audience hopin spielberg to match his previous megaflicks- the jurassic park .. The movie promises an interesting and thrillin storyline in the first half of the movie assisted by some eyeball-straining graphics and nerve-shattering sounds(if watchin in a multiplex).. but sadly the high quality cinematography fails to make up for the abrupt end of the movie..
how tom-cruise is the only survivor when others around him perish to the wrath of the aliens is not just shockin but also reminds us of other hindi-flick? how the aliens are destroyed remains the biggest mystery of all?? how his family survives.. again no 1 knows..
it seems as though spielberg wrapped up the movie due to time-constraint n his desperate attempt to create a monotonous happy-ending..
but apart from the story.. the movie is a definite watch for its high quality scenes whcih still remain unmatched compared to other hollywood flicks but for the tale-seekers, dont care about the end at least during the last 15-20 mins, its going to be a bit disappointing..
i rate the movie a 5/10.. as its overall rating..
