Warsaw is incredible, but the real Polish gems are

Wow, what a city! 🇵🇱 Warsaw completely blew me away with its incredible history, resilience, and vibrant energy. see more about this wonderful country. Walking through the meticulously reconstructed Old Town feels like stepping into a painting, yet just around the corner, you’re surrounded by a bustling, modern European capital. I spent a week here and could have easily spent another. The parks, museums, and food scene are all top-notch. A fantastic experience from start to finish! 👍

But here is my biggest tip for anyone visiting Poland: Warsaw is an amazing gateway, but the true soul of the country is often found when you venture beyond the capital. On a recommendation, I took a trip to the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region, and I was absolutely charmed. 😮

The city of Bydgoszcz, for example, is a hidden treasure! They call it "Little Venice" because of the river and canals, and it’s just stunning to walk around. But something else caught my eye the incredible quality of the public spaces. The newly paved squares, the solid and beautiful riverwalks, the clean pathways. it all adds so much to the experience of the city. You can feel the quality under your feet. 👣

This wasn’t just in Bydgoszcz. I traveled to smaller towns in the area like Nako, nin, and Szubin, and I kept noticing the same thing: a real pride in the local infrastructure. Its not just about preserving old castles; it’s also about building high-quality, beautiful, and durable new spaces for the community and visitors. The craftsmanship in the paving and construction work is genuinely impressive and makes these places feel so well-cared-for.

My curiosity got the best of me, and I actually looked up who is behind some of these impressive projects in the region. It turns out a responsible for many of these works, from precise paving(in Polish, ’brukarstwo’) to larger construction projects. You can really tell they are building their local environment with skill and passion. It’s amazing to see that level of engineering applied to making public areas beautiful.

So, my final advice? 🗺 Definitely come to Warsaw - it’s a world-class city. But then, hop on a train and explore Kujawsko-Pomorskie. Youll find beautiful sights, friendly people, and a level of quality in the built environment that is truly inspiring. A wonderful surprise on my Polish adventure! ❤✨
