Hello People, Firstly, if you are one among the people who are waiting to bit*h about Sachin I feel sorry for you and your heart.
I myself appreciate the decision to declare innings in test match after reaching at such a high score mark. It was quite an obvious decision that even a novice would have probably taken. But I dunno how it became’smart decision’ just because it was declared when Sachin was on 194. Everybody almost forgot the the way he supported Sehwag at the other end. Being an aggressive player himself, he played an excellent game to play calmly and sensibly while letting Sehwag go ahead with his superb play. It is great on a part of master to be so cool and support the new star to shine. Not even two over . even two balls would have been enough for Sachin to mark his new record. So it would have hardly taken 5 minutes. It would have been more happy situation with 1 tripple century and 1 double century from our killer batsmen. If he was notified earlier to complete his double century, why nobody warned him, that it is gonna be last over, so do it! Moreover, is 4 runs/over a bad runrate in test match?
Secondly if Drvaid/Ganguly was so precise about the declaration time, why the play wasnt declared prior to Lakhsman getting out?
Thirdly, had Dravid or Ganguly playing at 194, would they even think about declaring the game?( Now they might do . because this issue became so hot . so they would like to justify their smartness)
According to me, you dont need to take such a decision, to display your smartness. We anyway know you guys are smart! Dravid is excellent player over all! Consistent and someone on whom we can always rely on. He is the BRAIN of Indian cricket team, Where as Sachin is the HEART of our team. Sachin is good person by heart and humble, he never ever expressed his feelings no matter what. Now once he just expresses his disappointment, Media makes a balloon out of the issue. This is sick! Are there any jealousy factors involved or some dirty politics?
If he is causing any harm to the team or making us lose by running behind the record without bothering for the team victory then even I will be with you to bit*h about him! BUT, I know he simply even in dreams would never let the country down for his records. He makes records only when he has the chance. And what would have been an easy chance than that test match, when there was nothing to worry about. Theres nothing wrong in taking the opportunity to mark the record when position is so strong. According to me it was an ideal situation for any player to grab the opportunity to add one more record. But this opportunity was taken away from sachin unnecessarily that day.
Had it been other way round if Sachin declaring Drvaids game on 194(Which would not have happened) Media(Sachin-haters) would make the issue - Sachin dont want other players to break his records. And this humble gentleman would again digest the disgusting accusation spread by the Media.
I am not a hardcore Sachin fan or something, but this guy has made his place in every cricket lovers heart. He is indeed God of cricket, but after all an human being who is now not allowed to express his disappointment for a shocking decision.
