Wayanad !! It is located in north kerala, approx 5hrs journey from bangalore, very close to ooty .
If you are passionate about travelling, then definitely this is one of the best tourist destination in south india.if u want to go for adventurous trip , then wayanad is best option.it ’s risky to visit all places alone and in rainy season.try to visit all place in group. So, i was stayin in bangalore from last 1year, two month back we planned to visit wayanad.we total eight people started our trip on weekend. On friday nite approx 12:00 in nite, we started in tata sumo.we were enjoyed the bangalore mysore highway.we reached wayand at 6:00 clock in the morning..
So first we ave to search a hotel where we can stay for 2 days..we searched 2-3 hotels but didn;t find them good and affordable , finally we find one good hotel which is affordable and equipped with all facilities.we booked two rooms there.then we rest there till 11:00 clock and took breakfast. First , we started for eddakal caves , which is 1-1/2 hr journey from wayanad main city kalpetta during journey u will find turning roads surrounded by rocky hills . It ;s completely hilly area, with full of greenry, it s better that u take map guide from hotel.finally we reached, if you love tracking then it ’s reallly be your best tracking ever...first you hav to reach at the gate of eddakal caves which are 1000 mtr. Approx. In height, some people use jeep services toreach there but we planned to move by feets, so that will warm our body for tracking to caves.when we reached at the gate of caves , we hav to pay 10 rs ticket charge, cameras are not allow inside caves..so now we have to reach at the top of the hills via caves and hilly areas to enjoy the feeling of tracking...guy be careful don’t hesitate to tell people that its enough tracking for me and be careful asit’s at a very high from the ground...some of my friend got tired and stop there tracking trip in the middle, and others are going to rach at the top of the hill, where clouds are touching the peak. After reaching 85% of the hill , i stopped ....after 85% , it s being very risky and tough..a single mistake can cause you to death. Only two of my friends able to reach at the top . So guys...it was first adventours tracking by me and my friends..
soochippara waterfall :after visitin eddakal caves we move to watefalls. During journey u will find lots of tea , coffe states which create a beutiful sceneary ..u will definitely njoy it route .lot of small waterfalls come in you journey, we reached there from eddakal caves within 2 hrs..
We took lunch there then we parked our sumo and after walk of 2-3 kms reache at waterfall.
A heavy flow of water is falling from mountain continously and at very high speed. I advise you if you dont know swimming .don’t go near the heavy flow of water.we took some snaps and enjoyed a lot .
This area is completely covered with jungle, so try to escape from the place before nite.u will find number of hills.after reaching there u feel that i am inthte lap of nature...
We were completely tired and less of energy so we went back to our hotel and took rest..
Next day after finishing breakfast our journey starts at 9:00 clock.we start and reached to mniyaar
It’s heaven on this earth , a beautiful place, when we were in our sumo , it feels ua that we are driving on clouds. Clouds touches our sumo and passed away . It s absolutely real picture of natural beauty.one lake is there .sorry i forget the name..we enjoyed boating on this lake and took some beautiful snaps.
Wayanad wildlife sanctuary: it s one and half hour away from lake .you have to cross two lakes to see the wildlife sanctuary. And believe, i was my adventurous experience of choosing those two rivers 80ft deep life jacket, water is flowing speedy , one boat, two appointed people who will help you to cross the river but dont guarantee you to save if anything happen accidental, anyhow by believing in ourselves we crossed the river..the one good thing with us is that we don’t know swimming also. Sanctuary , but didn’t find any animal.we left from the middle as day is about to over and we have to reach bangalore .
For second river same conditions butno boat, for crossing the river u hav to sit on a wooden loft and hold a rope to reach at the other end, one appointed person is there to help out you in crossing.
