Being in the media field and having to store and work on lots of footage and pictures consumes alot of hard drive space. And my macbook having 512gb hard does not make things any better.
I was running through 1 tb hard drives quick and keeping files in separate hard disks made it difficulty to find when I needed it.
I needed a large hard drive and portability wasnt a reuirement on browsing the store the dealer recommended me this hard drive.
Initial observayions were rhe hard drive comes supplied with an ac adapator and good length usb 3.0 cable. The hard drive it self comes in a glossy black finish which is prone to scratches.
Performance wise the hard drive is quick actually quicker than my portable 3.0 hard drive and is silent which is a plus point. The hard deive barely gets warm when doing tasks.
So far it has been about 2 years and the hard drive hasnt failed yet.
