I am using Wd passport from past 1 year and I am having very good day to day usage from this drive.
This hard drive have good write speed on my USB 3.0 slot. The build quality of this drive is good but not great, it vibrates a lot while transferring files which I think it’s common.
Coming to transfer speed.
Read speed
Usb 2.0 - 80 MBPS
USB 3.0- 150 MBPS
WRITE speed
Usb 2.0-40 MBPS
USB 3.0-90 MBPS
I Conducted test by transferring a 2gb file.
One thing I didn’t like is while registering the Warranty I should get 3 years but I get only 2.5 years, so this thing is annoying except this everything is fine with this product.
I would recommend this drive to everyone who are willing to buy a 1tb hard drive.
