I dont know if this is the right place to put this review but when I read Wear Your Glasses By: anuj_bhatnagar22 I felt that you’ll need to know my experience as well. Even I would suggest wear glasses but still if you would like to play a gamble try V.A. Mayekars. Who knows even you would be lucky like me. Read on & give it a try.
V. A. Mayekar’s are well known opticians in Thane, Mumbai.
V.A.Mayekar was started in 1959. They now have branches at Mulund, Shivaji Park, Dadar, Borivli, Lalbaug & ofcourse Thane.
Well I wouldn’t know if you’ll feel I was lucky while dealing with Mayekars. But common sense says that lady luck knocks only once or twice or maybe thrice but not always.
The fact that I have been satisfied dealing with Mayekars is there dedication & attitude towards their customers that makes me feel lucky.
Then
A couple of years back I had planned to do away with my specks & opt for contact lenses. The biggest question I had was WHICH optician to approach. As investing around Rs 1200 was a big thing for me as I was just a student then & was buying them with the little pocket money I had saved over a few months. Finally rellyin on fate I decided to give V.A. Mayekars a try.
I approached V.A. Mayekar optician’s THANE. Dr Sebastian, the optomerist was a thorough gentlemen. Unlike other businessmen, he first tried to find out why I wanted to go in for lenses. Was it because I thought it was fashionable to have one or was it because I wanted to woo girls & so wanted to get rid of my specks or was I really in need of the lenses. He even advised me to continue with specks but I was adamant that I wanted lenses.
Knowing I was a student I was given special student discount - around 40%. Within a few days I tore a lense while cleaning. I was given a free replacement without any questions asked. In about three months time, suddenly my eyes started reddening & I was no more comfortable with those lenses. I felt my number had changed & so went to Mayekars once again. I got a free eye check done & even though the number was same I was given a new pair of lenses FREE of cost. Finally after about 9 months I thought I had enough & decided to do away with the lenses as my eyes had now started to ache & the redness now stayed for around an hour after I had removed the lenses. I was sad as I felt I had wasted my money.
To my surprise I was offered an option to buy any specks & have the money that I had paid 9 months ago adjusted towards the cost of the specks. Imagine getting 3 pairs of lenses to use for 9 months free of cost. Its not about money but the service that I got from V.A. Mayekar which has made me write a review recamending them. They made me feel special just by their commitment & effort to ensure that I was comfortable with what I use & not just do business & earn profits.
Now
Once again just a month ago I visited Mayekers after around 6 years & to my astonishment every one working then was still there & they all recognized me by my name. Not to mention the respect & the service that I got. I even got a free glass replaced as one of the glass broke while the frame was being replaced.
This is what I call service. Keep up the good work Mayekar’s. You’ll will surely go a long way.
