I discovered weather bug some time ago and really love it.
It is a small program so doesn’t take long to download and install and doesn’t take up a lot of space.
There is a lady bug that sits in your icon tray when you don’t have it flipped up. The current temprature is displayed next to your clock in the tray.
If you look at the screen of the weather bug you will find many useful things. It will show you maps of rainfall and so on and gives you the forecast. It will also tell you what the weather is somewhere else in case you plan to travel.
There is even a little thing to click on for free stuff.
The other night the alert came up to let me know we were under a flood watch and expecting 2’’ hail and winds up to 70mph and to take cover. It ended up being just a heavy thunder shower but it could have been worse and at least I was alerted to the conditions where I would not have been as I was on the computer and had no television or radio on.
