When it comes to privacy Wechat is way behind other Instant Messenger Services like WhatsApp, Hike etc. There is no end-to-end encryption available on chats, which can become a security breach as someone else may have hands on the chat conversation easily.
Downloading this app is a heavy task. The app is very heavy unlike its competitors.
SignUp process was a pain, as I didn’t receive the code that was sent to my Number. I tried several times, and finally clicked on a button where a bot calls and when I got the code, it didn’t accept it. The bot dictated a 6 digit number but entering the first 4 digits accepted the verification.
I appreciate the design of this app, but design wont do unless the app is fast and secure.
