I saw "welcome" on sunday night(22:00-1:00), lets check out the parameters:-
1)story: sorry there is no such thing, which indeed has become a mandatory thing nowdays for all the so called"laugh riot movies" .
2)Plot:don’t worry about it, u will not expect anything from it, just sit there & laugh occasionally, depending upon ur sense of humor. I remember giggling just once.
3)Cast: thats the only saving grace, with anil kapoor, nana patekar, akshay kumar, paresh rawal, feroz khan we have an awesome cast, it was really depressing to see all of them in this "no show movie". also it seems that Akshay kumar has really become bored doing same kinda movies, he was just sleeping throughout the movie. & please take paresh rawal away from comedy genre, he’s going the kadar khan way, he is definately very talented & should try other genre’s aswell.
4)dialogue’s-leaving anil’s dialogue’s, not one was fresh, everything rested upon the old gags
5)acting: was OK, but there was no binding factor, other then the occasional pairing of anil & nana, the rest was very predictable
6)actress:katrina kaif & mallika sharawat were looking pretty as ever in the movie. that’s it don’t expect anything else
7)songs:only the song featuring mallika -nana-anil was gud, rest all were out of place, nothing to hum about.
7)Crux: if u had enjoyed bhagam bhag, golmaal etc type of movies.this would turn out to be a nice time pass movie.but if u r looking for some decent laugh, go & try our old "andaz apna apna", don’t waste ur time on this one. believe me u’ll be constantly checking out the exit door
