Book that Touches

This is a touching book about the south and the trials of a black family. This book automatically generates the interest in the mind of the reader about the Civil rights and their executions. Even after reading this I was exactly not able to understand the unfairness that occurred with the black family. It is difficult understand how anyone could treat someone else so poorly, based on the color of their skin. This book is written around a family.

The family in this story has a well that doesn’t dry up in a drought and so people bring their barrels to get sweet, cold water. A feud between the black and white children leads to some terrible consequences and both sides learn that we depend on the same things for survival, no matter what color we are. This is not a very long book and can easily be read as a family and I highly recommend it.
