I’ve had fairly good experiences at Westside Forum for furniture shopping. Products are of very good quality and reasonably priced. Sales staff are very helpful, polite and a pleasure to interact with. Sale occasions are a good time to buy.
Last year we bought a Kuber sheesham dining table + chairs. All the items were packed in front of us by the staff, loaded onto a cargo auto and sent behind our car. Upon delivery, it was immediately unpacked and fitted. No hassle, perfect process.
A few months ago, we went looking for a particular entertainment center to match the dining table. It was not available at any of the Westside stores. A month later the Forum store folks called us up to inform that the item is available at the store. (Unfortunately, the size was not suitable so we didn’t buy it.)
This month we went back and purchased two more items from them. A sheesham cabinet and a arty chair. The same set of sales folks were there, and they were still remarkably helpful. They told us that the chair is out of stock and will be delivered in 2 weeks. The cabinet would be delivered after polishing in 3 days.
Amazingly enough, the cabinet was delivered on the day/time as promised! I have had furniture delivered from many stores, and this was a first.
Some days later, the store folks called us to inform us of a delay in the getting the chair and that it would take till the end of the month to deliver it to us. Which was fine, so we are waiting for the chair. Note that this is exactly the kind of expectation that I as a customer have. Time and again I tell sales staff the same thing: dont over promise a delivery date. If something will not be delivered on a particular date, please inform well in advance. Dont NOT inform, and have me call you up to find out why a delivery has not happened, and listen to a great many excuses...
