It’s always necessary to be careful while shopping online. Some attractive offers always put you in trouble and can turn your shopping experience into a nightmare. This happened with me when I ordered a set of Denim Jeans from Whaaky.com. I would like to share me experience through this review so that none other should suffer because of Whaaky.com’s fraud.
-I received an advertisement mail from Whaaky about an offer on a set of three Denim Jeans just for Rs. 999.
-I found this deal worth because a single denim would cost much more than this from other physical retail stores.
-So, I decided to order this set of Jeans having a thought in my mind that the jeans being low at cost must be of low quality but can be wearable for someone, atleast for an year.
-I received the order well after 15 days which was a long period to wait and was frustrating. Generally other online sites deliver your product in not more than 7 days.
-Many sites offer a free shipping but Whaaky charged me Rs. 150 for shipping.
-When I checked the package, I found the three Jeans I ordered but all three of different sizes, out of which only one was of my size.
-Moreover their zip were damaged which was not expected with a brand new product.
-This was really frustrating experience for my first time online shopping.
-Now, there was the return policy of the site for which I had to register a complaint by calling the customer care of the site.
-When I tried calling the customer care, I got my call connected atleast after the 10th attempt.
-After connecting the call, they informed me that for returning the product I had to courier them the parcel back to their given address to New Delhi.
-When I checked for the courier services from my town, I found that they charge for the package according to its weight. Each kg would cost me Rs. 200. My parcel’s weight was 4kg 600gm and the total courier cost would sum up to Rs 920.
-I was really confused whether to laugh or cry at this. A charge of Rs 920 for courier of a parcel whose cost was Rs 999.
-Still I decided to courier the product back and get my proper ordered product. Now the total cost of those three Jeans went up to 999+ 150+ 920= 2069( Orig. Cost+ Shopping+ Courier Charges) .
-I finally received another parcel after another 15 days which I expected to be genuine but to my surprise the same story was repeated. Two of the Jeans were of the size I ordered but the third was of smaller size.
-I was now in a complete helpless situation. It was now now affordable for me to Call back to the customer call and ask for a return and was really feeling like a victim to a fraud.
-This kind of first online shopping experience left me with no trust on any other shopping site and I had never gone for shopping online further.
-Online shopping is a trend and is growing day by day and one must be careful with this.
