Well falling in love is never planned. One never knows when they are in love until they feel the threat of loosing it. For Lucy (played by Sandra Bullock), falling in love was always a fantacy until one day when she saw Peter. Lucy aways longed for family since she did not have her own. Her father died of cancer and mom along time ago. So, she always wanted to be a part of a family.
She saw Peter at work where she sold tokens for the railway, she always dreamed for him...until one day she heroically saves Peter who is pushed on railway tracks by some gangsters. This is where the story begins, she is introduced to Peters family (who have lost their son Peter in the modern ciites and are distand from his love) as his fiancee. Peters family loves Lucy and thinks of her as an angel who will fill up the gap between them and his son. They adore Lucy and Lucy adores them as her wish to be a part of the family is fullfilled.
While Peter is in unconscious, she meets Jack (Bill Pullman), Peters brother and between their differences and confusion, Lucy and Jack fall in love. But it makes it hard for Lucy to admit her love towards Jack because she is to be married to Peter in reality. Now will Lucy marry Jack..Ofcourse yes. Eventually, they get married and live happily.
’’While you were sleeping’’ is the story of a girl who dreams of marrying one person and ends up marring someone else. I guess you never know who you fall in love with and when.
I like this movie because it reflects contemperoray society. We think we love someone and fall in love with someone else...I guess this is love you never know...who what and when...!!!
You should see this movie not because of romance but also because it makes you believe in fate and also because of the comedy.
