I purchased Whirlpool Refrigerator Model No. F23 Classic plus(steel) around 2.5 years back from Noida. The refrigerator started giving problems like freezing ice on items placed inside the fridge around 3-4 months back. Last week, it started throwing hot air, instead of coolness. The service center at Delhi was approached. Then started the worst ever experience. The call center guys kept on promising that their engineer would reach our home same day. After doing follow-ups for many times, finally the engineer visited 3 days later from first commitment date. He told us that this is a normal/routine problem in our product. It is due to leakage of gas from the refrigerator and it will cost us Rs 1450/-. He suggested us to purchase annual AMC for this.
I shall like to highlight one more aspect here. We purchase our last fridge 26 years back. Last year, we put it off, when my parents came to live with me. We were planning to sell this old, trouble free fridge in exchange to a new fridge from Whirlpool. Now we are planning for selling this Whirlpool fridge in exchange for a better quality fridge from some other company. Any buyers?
I shall never recommend any product from Whirlpool
for purchase because their technician has told us that all their products like AC, Fridge face similier issues every year, hence we sell AMC. What a way to force customers to pay for poor quality products being sold by the company!!!!!!!Amazing.
