I bought the product on 21 Jan 2012 from Ezone located in Pune central at University Road, Pune. It is front loading washing machine with 5.5 kg capacity. Machine has 14 wash programs for different types of clothes and is fully automatic. It has a inbuilt heater for warm water washing. However the machine has no rat mesh. Washing quality is good and can wash heavily soiled clothes. However, my bad experiences started from day one. First of all Ezone did not deliver the machine in properly packed condition. Anyway this review is not about Ezone so I will not go into details.
Next day the service engineers from SSR Engineers came for installation of machine. During the installation they noticed that power cord plug was damaged. They replaced the plug. My washing machine installation location was slightly away from water tap so they sold me 2 inlet hoses and 2 outlet hoses. For which they charged me 15 to 20 % more than the MRP printed on the packs. When I complained about this to whirlpool customer care they took no actions. Machine work fine till Oct 2012. In Oct 2012 the machine stopped working from wash program 2 to 6. I called customer care and they sent their personnel to my home. He diagnosed the problem as blockage in some sensor. He blew some air into one pipe in the machine started working. But then again I face the same problem in Dec 2012.
The washing machine again stopped working between wash program no. 2 to 6. I have registered the complaint for the same through whirlpool customer care on 12 Dec 2012 vide SR No. PN1212003564 and again on 17 Dec 2012 vide SR No PN1212005102. Their service personnel has visited my house once. I was told that some part of the machine needs to be replaced and he would come again with the part. Since then no one has visited. I reminded the customer care since then 2 times via customer care helpline number (020-60008558) and 3 times via email sent to regional office.
Every time I was promised a resolution within 5 days. However, even one and half month after registering the complaint they have not resolved the complaint. Every time it fell on deaf ears. Email sent to email id listed on their website (helpdeskindia@whirlpool.com) got bounced back 3 times. You could imagine the kind of apathy whirlpool shows towards their customers. I have learned very important things from this experience. After sales support is more important then the features and price of the product. Never go for Whirlpool products. Because whatever product you buy you will be dealings with the same guys.
I have learned my lesson now its time other learn theirs too.
