Useless Service

Folks, I know I’m writing this under the wrong product category, but I’m highly disgusted with the company named Whirlpool. I hv written a letter to them and I’m pasting this under for you to understand the problem and realise not to ever indulge in any of their products. My complaint is with their refrigerators, but i’ve alos seen many of their A/cs leak and othr products not function properly in my friends’ place.


So here’s the letter. Please read it and be a smart customer.


I have a major complaint with your company about your product.


We bought a high end model refidgerator of whirlpool with a 7 year warranty. From the very first day, we have faced problems which have not been solved by the engineers who keep coming over. We reside at Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.


The details, for your information are as under:

The problems with the fridge include, and are not limited to:




  1. Frosting in the freezer compartment,




  2. Humidity in the Non freezer compartment(the refridgerator section)




  3. Spoiling of the food stuff.






The engineers say that there may be a problem with the alignment of the doors of the refridgerator. But even after fixing the doors umpteen times, the problem persists! There is an engineer Mr. Sachin, who frequents our place for the complaints. He knows the problem and admits that his supervisors do not pay heed to our complaints. His supervisors include Mr. Deepak and Mr. Basir.


We feel that the service and warranties and guaranties and all those claims of the company is all a hoax. We may hv a 7 year warranty, but the problem does not get solved! The engineers come on time but whats the use. The fridge remains the same! This is a harassment for us as we selected this product over a no of choices, and we truly regret it.


Let me tell you we are so unhappy with the product that though we need more appliances in our house as we have just renovated it, we will definitely not go for whirlpool products. I have been driven to a point where I’m left with no other option but to go to the consumer court under the consumer protection act 1986.
