I have had the whirlpool white magic 150 qci ac for a while now. It is installed to cool a bedroom around 300 sq feet in size in pune. So while it does not face the sweltering humidity of bombay, pune too gets hot with the temp hitting 40+ degrees on occasion
The good thing about this unit
The unit is lightweight and compact, yet seems to be sturdy. I run it without a stabilizer and no problems so far.
The cooling is good, and it is fast.
The electronic temp controls and features are easy to operate. specially with the included remote.
The bad
The air flow is noisy, specially when runing high.
A bit extra in terms of vibration. But I have it installed in a wooden frame with foam so that compensates.
While it cools well, it is not the most energy efficient ac around
The remote is a bit primitive, they could make the lcd bigger, its hard to read
All said and done, this is perhaphs the only whirlpool product that has not given me a headache.
