Beware of these guyz. These cause spark-blast anytime. Please share my story and save others .IT CAN KILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
I purchased a Whirlpool microwave oven and was using is nicely. Few days later( 4 months back) I saw some electric sparks and small blasts inside the oven and immediately called the Whirlpool service center. The person came after 12-13 days after multiple calls, opened the oven and said that the electric circuit is dangerous and needs to be replaced and will cost approx Rs. 2500/- and took it with him, leaving the oven as such open. After 14-15 days when I called again, the service center person said, that these(sparks and blasts!) are usual things in such microwave ovens, they have received many such complaints from Whirlpool customers from all over India and since they don’t make these parts anymore(later I came to know that these are Chinese made products), I have to pay Rs. 5000/- to change the entire circuit! Since last 4 months I have called 60-70 times to Customer care of Whirlpool at Pondicherry, Chennai and even Gurgaon Head Office, and mailed them more than 10 times via website and personal mail ID. But they are now not even picking my phone. They are just saying such things are common with Whirlpool Microwave Oven and they can’t do anything.
I wonder if sparks and blasts are routine happenings in Whirlpool Microwave Oven, then was I playing with death oven for these many days when I was using the oven! God saved me this time it seems!
