People, please dont buy whirlpool RO. I am sharing my experience with you in resolving the complaints, to create the awareness about the extraordinary customer support and quality of the product they provide.
Problem 1: During the installation, the water was not primed into the RO. Service engineer told that the pressure is not right and RO wont work. Come on, I paid 15500 to get this and its not working in day 1 and he confirmed that there wont be anything done from their side. I live in the ground floor of the apartment and the water tank is at 2nd floor.
Even the people live in 1st floor got it right with Aqua guard. how come it wont work in ground floor. After arguing for the best part of 2 hours he agreed to attach a minute steel pipe from the kitchen sink which will regulate the flow faster. I paid 700 for that. This shows the quality of the motor.
Problem 2: The pump/switch used along with the motor was not working, and it was replaced by a old switch. Engineer told that he will be bringing a new one but requested for the customer satisfaction code since he might miss the SLA. Pitying on him I gave the code and it was never replaced with a original one.
Problem 3: In the general service carried out 3 months ago(within warranty period) service engineer told there was no issue with RO and all filters are in good condition.But immediately after the warranty period (1year) RO stopped working totally.
Upon checking, Service engineer told 3 filters had gone completely and require a change immediately. Cost of all the 3 combines to a total of 2300. I questioned Whirlpool Service engineer how it happened that too immediately after warranty period and the general service had not revealed anything about it (just 3 months ago).
Due to this I need to shell out 1500 rupees (excluding the minor filter) to fix the filters. Also, the issue raised had been open for 10 days. When I questioned about it, the supervisor and executives were telling me that its my responsibility to follow-up.
Problem 4: Whirlpool customer support always calls and asks whether you want to get into AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) for which I need to pay 4k-4.5k(forgot the exact amount). This is another day robbery to get more money.
Entire response and attitude of customer care were highly shocking. Hereafter I wont recommend this stupid product to anyone. So far I had raised 4 complaints and there was never a follow-up happened. Entire Whirlpools cheating plan was revealed by one single statement from the customer care executive - "Whirlpool RO filters need to be replaced once in every 3-5 months" which means we need to pay anywhere from 300-6000 every 6 months.
Bought this product for 15.5k, now I had spent an addition of almost 2300, just 20 days after the warranty expiration. Apart from all the above, highly irritating factor is the tone, attitude, response of customer care. they are not ready to listen the complaint.
Apart from making calls to customer support I had sent mails also. Below is email trascript between myself and whirlpool. You can see the pathetic response from them.

is this how you handle your customers?
Complaint had been raised a month back. No mail/phone calls at all.
Worst customer care.
Arrange someone to take back the RO for free.
I will give it for free, unlike as you cheated me for 15000.
