On 30 September 2013, I had purchsaed a whirlpool split airconditioner from whirlpool Noida dealer, perhaps that was the worst decision of my life.
Initially I had a problem Ist installation service from dealer, which took at least 6-7 days post purchase of airconditiner.
On this I thought may be it is a concidence and tolerated and went ahead. But slowly the Whirlpool airconditioner has shown its colours.
During last 3 years I must have raised at least 20 service calls and it includes at least 4-5 times gas leak has been handled by Whirlpool.
The warranty / amc services quality provided by the whirlpool franchise is extremly poor and at times it take 5-10 days to rectify a fault.
It is not only the inconvenience of the non availability of airconditioner for which it was bought, I had to coordinate at least 2-3 times with the service centre engineers or service centre. Many times, I had to make a conference call to tell the service centre that engineer is on call and has visited my place day before and submitted report with gas filling and now you have to send the team for gas filling. Mr Mehra, Mr Ashok, Goel Enterprises and many others mobile number and contact numbers are now with me.
You may vouch the same from the service records of amc with you.
As a typical indian understanding the poor service levels of companies, I once again tolerated all this but one question kept coming to my mind that what is the product quality.
Finally I understood the product quality, on last service call(CALL ID:DL 0916008658 dated September 2016; CHASIS - INM121202759) after a serious follow up on emails with Mr. Daljeet Chopra(who was quite helpful) we were able to have gas filling team at my place. I was shocked to know when the engineer told me that the COOLING COIL is more able to take the gas load as and we must change the coil immediately before filling the gas and it may cost me around Rs. 7000 which is apparently not in the scope of so called Comprehensive Warranty/ AMC terms.
It is now that I want to ask WHIRLPOOL that what product quality they are sellling to customer in which major parts like Cooling Coil fails in three years.
If that is so, we must think again before buying any whirlpool products in future.
I raise the question to WHIRLPOOL to revert on such a poor quality supplies and poor service levels which is to maximise their profit after overlooking(consumer & society) all the aspect of consumer due to which they are still in market.
What is the solution for a customer who buys a product at whopping cost under a great brand like Whirlpoo and the product is almost dead in 3 years with major part failure and customer has to keep paying in terms of inconvenience of product service and cost of parts and amc.
Why a customer must not raise such a case in appropriate forum against Whirlpool
