Top Load Automatic Whirl Pool washing machine purchased by me started giving problem within 2 years of purchase. First, control panel board has gone. Replaced for Rs.2000/-, After one year display panel has gone. Replaced for Rs.4000/-. Machine worked for only one day. Started giving loud noice and vibration. Called service centre technician. Without opening the machine declared that balacning ring & Hub has gone which will cost Rs.6000/-. Balacning ring was not availble with service centre. I have written to the company help desk. They said that it is not available in whole India but they will buy back for discounted value. Even after 3 months they could not give discounted value. Local service centre has said that they will exchange for 25% of original invoice value of Rs.13800/-. That means, if I purchase new machine they will reduce Rs.3000/-. I have called another technician who has opened the machine and delcared that outer tub is torn out. Total repair charges will be Rs.10000/-. That too he will not fix new spare parts. He will get parts from old machines. In first 5 years, I have spent Rs.5000/-. With additional Rs.10000/-, total repair cost would be Rs.15000/- as against purchase price of Rs.13800/-. So, I have exchanged with new LG machine. On seeing the performance of LG washing machine, I realised how worst was whirlpool. From the beginning, it was giving loud noice, vibration. I thought that this is the way the machine works. However, LG is very efficient and silent machine. Whirl pool products are made of poor quality materials due to which get broken very soon. Therefore, they price the product lesser than products of other companies so that middle income people who are price sensitive will purchase this without knowing the fact that whirl pool products will not last for longer. In my opinion it is purely third class company. Their service centre and company’s helpdesk people are also worst people. Dont purchase any products of whirl pool.
