It was after a long discussion we decided to go in for Whirlpool whitemagic FP45 model.Why Whirlpool?? because I already had a fridge which had not given me any problem for 3-4 years I had a favourable brand image of the same.
Just last week I purchased the machine and was quite happy the way its looks.
The problem started the very next day when I used it for the first time.My whole Kitchen was flooded with water when the machine started draining at first I thought it was a drainage pipe not placed properly, too my horror I realised the water was leaking from inside the machine and that too not drops but stream of water was flowing from inside the machine.I contacted the dealer whom I purchased the machine and he sent an engineer to check, who came to a conclusion that there is a leakage problem and the machine has to be replaced.
The replacement arrived in the next two days, as I started to use the machine I realised that the water level knob was not working and was stuck in one position.. called the dealer again and he promised to change the piece instead of repairing.
The second replacement arrived and this time again my Kitchen was a swimming pool.
Three machines in a weeks time and all defective pieces....Whirlpool I think your quality control department seems to be sleeping.
Eventually switched over to Samsung even though it was a little costly.
After 1 week of buying this brand machine all I have got is total frustration, disappointment and ofcourse back ache after converting the swimming pool back to my old kitchen.
Well thats my experience......Whirlpool is out of my life forever.
