After 2 times LG, this time decided to check out Whirlpool on recommendation of the dealer. Even though I know that dealers push the products where the margins are more. However got taken in.
The machine is absolutely mediocre. Has no single redeeming point. After purchasing commissioning took many phone calls and few days patient wait.
The wash quality is average to below average.
The machine has broken down 3 times in last 11 months. Once the cable supplying power to the motor was damaged by the getting caught between 2 moving parts. Once the machine just stopped in the mid cycle. It was repaired after continuous followup.
2 days back the same story. The mechanic investigated and told us that the PCB is damaged. And as you would guess the part is not in stock. We are making phone calls to the service station, getting taarikh pe taarikh.
The customer service with Indian manufacturers ends when the customer cheque is encashed. But for other products at least the product design and manufacture quality is good. We dont have to depend on the after sales service.
Have taken a vow now, not to touch any Whirlpool product even by a 10 foot pole.
