When I borrowed it from a friend, I had mixed feelings. It had won a Booker, but I half expected it to be overrated. How wrong I was! This book is a one sitting read. Once you begin, the story will suck you into it’s seedy realistic world. I loved the book. A brutal look at how unfair the world can be, but how there can always be a way out, if you are willing to look for it. Definitely recommend it to people who like reading hard hitting honest stuff.
