Having read the rave reviews of Honda Civic, I requested the first dealer I could get my hands on... Whitefield Honda (in Bangalore). Better reason actually is that the dealership was closer
to my office than the other one. I called and fixed a test drive appointment for 2 days later. It was scheduled for 4 in the evening and then at 3:55, I got a SMS from the lady I was speaking it to... All it said “Sir sorry cant make it 2day. Can we have appointment for 2morrow.chitra”
Such nice courtesy... One, you tell me 5 minutes before the appointment and two, you use a SMS! Man, this is disgraceful…
That’s not the end of the story. Next day I call the other dealer… Dakshin Honda. The guy speaks and keeps the appointment. We drive back from my office to my home and as I get out of the car, he takes me to the front bumper which seems broken with some scratch marks on it. And he says “Sir, you know what. This happened when you drove off on the stone on the way”. Mind you, the scratches were there when I first looked at it around! And here’s a salesman who sits with me thru the journey and then has the guts to say it was because of my driving!
Honda Civic might be great car. Sure, but I am not going to touch it. The dealers stink and that’s enough reason to keep off it!
