Windows 10 is just hype with a new user interface. Window 10 prerequisite is in itself very heavy and anyone with a old hardware could not install it at first place using it is completely different story. It’s not fast as they claim and every that was simple has been carefully made sophisticated.
#1. Help Functionality: You will be surprised 1st time when you go on that where is the famous text box in which you write all the short command or utility name and they appear. Seriously to find help on Window 10 you need help from someone that knows it. The famous text box has been overly and unnecessarily complicated I do not know why you just can’t locate it while you are naive. You have to understand where is what and Windows developer made sure you have to figure out everything from start. This includes you have to discover where control panel, disk management features etc are located and the basic ones like Network configuration, paint tool, notepad are there. Advanced feature like setting up JDBC ODBC connection incase you are a software developer is a pain.
#2. User friendly: No, this is developed as it seems with a mindset that forget all and learn all new. Their all new avatar theory for no reason waste time and make it very bad user experience as why someone is trying so hard that it’s customer has to learn everything from start.
#3. Ease of Installation: This you can say you do with any problem because there were day when you had to install OS without the User interface and that was more complex. Window 10 installation is very easy and without a problem if you are using a new Bios but if you are using old then you have to waste lots of time to find how to change your BIOS setting to allow you to install Windows 10 and may be finally you might understand that your old BIOS won’t allow it.
#4. Feature/Functions: As with all Microsoft OS they want to achieve high and big but their approach is ordinary and half hearted they want to create something like apple store and Google play but they failed terribly and had an App store that’s joke. You install things and then find out that it is joke. Installing Microsoft own application like skype is inbuilt but for that you need to create an account with Microsoft and it is much easier to install it from outside and use. Function wise to create the account and to operate them is completely different and you have to learn this. You still cannot see the Linux part ions if you have dual boot as OS cannot read ext partions. Windows Media player is still cannot play many formats and IE is useless as before.
#5. Service & Support: It’s great you just have to call and they’ll help you with all your questions.
I won’t discourage you from using this OS but if you really want to learn something than use Linux OS. Microsoft all flavor are more or less same but not Windows 10, you have to learn how to do thing and that is same as how to open a new lock. This OS in not secure and safe. Microsoft Office is part of it and as you know that with Microsoft office you cannot use many format and you eventually have to pay for any legal software that you buy.
