My laptop lenovo G580 is loaded with Windows 8. I came across the auto update issues several time and had to reset my laptop three times. While using internet the OS will automatically download the updates. But while shut down the computer this will show ’installing updates’ and after sometimes this shows the message ’failed to install updates reverting changes please wait’ this remained for 48 hrs and I could not do anything on my laptop and I switched off using the power button and when I switched on again it showed the same message. At last I have rest my laptop. Which resulted in losing all my saved data.
