Microsoft may have been jubilient at the success of their operating system but windows XP has some serious problems in it and it makes life difficult for home use if you do not purchase an original WinXP professional which pinches your pocket. I have been using Win XP for more than 2 years and I have formatted it or reinstalled it atleast 3-4 times .
There are problems in this OS with windows update, it automatically sometimes gets alerted to update and downloads a WinXP genuine validation tool which renders your OS useless and you cant use it and have to reinstall it again(loss of peace of mind) .
Then there are erratic movements shown by the mouse (optical, corded or cordless) it moves by itself.
Then there is a problem in it that the programs do not start, they are loaded in the background but they dont show up on the desktop and due to this I even cant shut down the OS and have to manually switch off the pc and again see if it starts or not . I consider myself luck if it starts in a single time and I dont have to restart it .
